Proof of a Promise

Romans 8:31b wrote:“If God is for us, who can be against us?”

This promise, posed as a question, says something amazing. God is for me. He is in my corner. He wants his best for me.

But someone could say, "How do you know that God is for you?"

Well the proof is in the next verse

Romans 8:32 wrote:“He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?”

I can look to the cross where God gave up his only son for me. If he was willing to do that, the most amazing gift ever, how would he hold back anything else from me?
