God is a Shield

Psalm 1-5
Observations:
Who is God?
God is the Shield

What has God done for us?
God holds my head high.

What does God promise to do for us?
God will watch over me.

Interpretations:
God is our protector. We can hold our heads high because he is protecting us. Even when things get bad he shields us from Satan's evil plan. He is always watching over us. We are not alone when times are tough. We are not alone when times are good. We are not alone when we sin. We are not alone when we reject sin. We are not alone.

Applications:
I as a father protect my family. I try to shield them against evil. I am there for my children so that they can hold their heads up high and be confident in my love and protection. I watch over them. I am there when things are good or bad. God, however, is a bazillion times better at it then I am. And if I as a sinner can be trusted to protect my family, how much more can we trust God.

Belief Statement:
I believe that God is watching over my life.
